Everyday Spectres

Focusing on the everyday life of magical creatures, the perfect Everyday Spectre will be horror, magical realism, or urban fantasy. Vampires and werewolves are welcome, but so are any number of other magical creatures. Gritty, real, dark or humorous, we want to see how these creatures live from day to day. We want blue collar and white, real people with extraordinary gifts, not lofty rich folks living in high fantasy castles.

Stories should be between 20,000 and 45,000 words. All submissions must conform to the Torquere Press submission guidelines, found on our writers' guidelines page.

These stories will pay 35% of the cover price on all sales made on the Torquere Press site, and 25% of the cover price on all sales from our distributors' sites, paid quarterly. Distributor sales are not paid until we receive payment from that seller.
