When the next door neighbors ask Dean to walk their dog while they're
away Dean is happy to help out. Spencer is equally happy when Dean's playful
game with a dog leash leads to something far more intense than Spencer had
bargained for.

"You're up already," Spencer said brightly. "Wait, you're dressed.
What?"
That was all wrong. Dean should never be dressed before shower time.
Dressed meant probably no shower sex.
"Why are you dressed?" Spencer asked again, before Dean had even tried
to reply to the first time.
Dean raised an eyebrow at him and shrugged into his windbreaker. He
wasn't dressed for work, since he was wearing his track pants and a
T-shirt, but he was definitely going out. "It's Tuesday," he said, as if
that explained anything at all.
Spencer watched Dean get his sneakers on -- the ones he wore for errands
and yard chores, not for working out. "So?"
"So," Dean said, standing up and shoving his hand into one of his
pockets. "Tuesday is the morning after the Monday evening of which
Shelly and Kyle left for their trip." He pulled out a dog leash. "Cleo,
remember?"
Cleo was the terrier who lived in the other half of the duplex, a space
she only grudgingly shared with her humans. Cleo didn't really like
Spencer for whatever reason her brain had come up with, but she adored
Dean.
"Have fun." Spencer turned to the bathroom, trying not to pout too much.
He was a big boy; he could deal with delayed gratification better than a
dog could deal with not getting out of the house on time.
"Hey." Dean's hand -- the one without the leash in it -- caught the back
of Spencer's waistband. "Not so fast."
"Cleo needs out." Spencer turned anyway, because it was Dean and because
he wasn't actually annoyed, merely disappointed, and because a quick
kiss wouldn't matter to the dog, not really.
"I'll take care of her." Dean smiled at him, a slow one that started in
his eyes and ended with a curl on one side of his mouth. "Then I'll take
care of you." |
