When Chris wakes up in purgatory, he finds himself confronted by an angel
and a devil. It seems his soul is in limbo and it could go either way. In
order to tip the balance, he has to use his God-given talent to his best
ability, but the only talent he has is between the sheets. Is it possible
getting it on with an angel and a demon can save him from hell and get him
into heaven? And is either side ready for the likes of him? Lord only knows.

"Prove yourself, Chris," replied the angel, with a nod of his haloed
head. "Prove yourself good enough for heaven..."
"Or else," continued the demon, with a malevolent sneer, "follow me to
hell."
"And how, exactly, do I prove myself?" Chris asked, nervously.
The angel again replied. "The Lord provides each of us with a certain
intrinsic something we are good at, something we excel at beyond most
others. Some of us are able to discover this ability within ourselves
and go on to lead productive lives; those who fail to do so grow
dissatisfied. If you are able to show us that you have discovered what
the good Lord has so graciously imbued within you, you will tip the
balance in your favor. If not--"
The demon again interrupted. "Hell is quite lovely this time of year,
actually. Five hundred degrees in the shade, ash-count at fifty percent,
brimstone baths open for business."
Chris groaned. What am I good at? he thought to himself. What can I do
better than most? The answer was obvious, but, all things considered,
inappropriate. Still, he doubted his Wii bowling skills would get him
into heaven, so he replied, truthfully, "I screw really, really well, or
so I've been told. Repeatedly."
The angel coughed and shook his head. The demon, however, smiled
brightly, yellowed fangs springing menacingly to life. "Time for the
proof, then," he said, with a mischievous leer.
The angel floated back a foot. "I think not."
Chris tugged at himself. "You said to prove it, so that's what I intend
to do." And please, God, let this be the ability you imbued within
me. |
