Somewhere in Time.

The stage lights were almost blinding, but Cara squinted through them, scanning the audience for René. She found him sitting alone in a shadow at a small cocktail table, stage left. Tonight, finally, she felt radiant in her make-up and statuesque in her heels, and she hoped he thought so, too. She'd made sure that her evening gown clung in all the right places, accentuating her curves and René's favorite part of her, her perfect postérieur. It was even cut just low enough to show a little cleavage. She'd spent every French centime she had to her name on that dress.

Cara bent artfully and lifted a rose that one of her fans had given her from the stage floor, and tossed it to René. He caught it, looking surprised and embarrassed, and she smiled and blew him a kiss. She hadn't meant to fall in love with him, but there it was. She drew her fingers along the length of antique pearls around her neck gently. It was a perfect night, and she was the happiest she had ever been.
