A frustrated, aging artist who makes ends meet with a dead-end day job is seduced by a beautiful young man who wants nothing more than to pay for his meals and have sex at every opportunity. It sounds like an ideal match, but Kurt's passionate, irresponsible lover, Garrett, is keeping secrets. Worse, Kurt's muse has abandoned him entirely. What does Kurt have to lose in order to find his muse and his happiness again?

“God damn it, what do you have in here, rocks?”
Kurt smiled while Sean, his best friend, struggled with the last of the moving boxes. The grin on his face quickly turned into a wince when Sean almost collided with the doorway. “Careful, that one has all of my art supplies, idiot.”
Sean didn't reply, he just gave Kurt an annoyed look before he dumped his burden onto the carpet. Kurt ignored the sour expression and swept his hand through the air in a semi-circle. “So, what do you think?”
“Not much. Instead of renting a matchbox in New York, you're living in a shoebox with an absentee housemate. The shower isn't in the kitchen, but it might as well be, since I don't have enough room to turn around.”
“I can't afford much more on my shitty paycheck from the Book Works.”
“That's what you get for not being a corporate drone,” Sean said. Kurt resisted the urge to give Sean a solid whack for needling him about the fact that he refused to work in cubicle. “Where's that pizza you promised?”
Kurt rolled his eyes and said, “Jesus, do you ever think about anything besides your stomach and your dick?”
“Hmm... No. Now cough up that hot, sweet slice, crammed with so much cheese that it's going to just drip down my chin... ”
“Only you could make eating food sound like you were fucking.”
“Hey, someone has to inspire you. How long have you had just your hand for company?”
“Too long.” |
