Jason’s new relationship with Troy is the best thing that’s ever happened to him. His burgeoning art career is next best. But both of them seem to be slipping away from him as he tries to adjust to the changes in his life. Will he be able to save them his love life and career?
Jason and Troy first appeared in About Damn Time.

He heard Troy come in after he'd worked about half an
hour. His lover said nothing, but Jason heard the legs of the extra
chair slide across the floor as Troy took a seat to wait. Jason kept his
focus firmly on the work. He couldn't stop now. Troy would understand
that.
Finally Jason leaned back and turned off the welder. He stared at the
arcs and lines of the metal for a few seconds, then pushed back the
welding mask and looked again. Then he turned to Troy.
"What do you think?"
"It's coming together really well."
Jason fought a smile. He wasn't sure if Troy meant it, or if he was
trying to be encouraging. "Can you tell what it is?"
"Um…" Troy peered at the unfinished sculpture. Jason watched Troy's
expression change as he puzzled it out, trying to make sense of the
abstract lines and curves. "A dragonfly?"
Jason chuckled. "Good call."
"Was I right?" Troy asked.
"Hell if I know," Jason answered. He laid down the welder, pulled off
the mask and rubbed his forehead with the back of his wrist. "Shit. I'm
hot, and I stink."
"You're definitely hot," Troy agreed. Then he leaned forward and took a
quick sniff. Wrinkled his nose and said, "Wanna fuck?"
Jason laughed. "Of course I do." He turned, letting Troy see the hard-on
lurking in his jeans. "Working makes me hornier than hell."
Troy grinned. "I did not know that."
"Now you do." Jason closed the distance between them and leaned down,
taking Troy's mouth in a hard, insistent kiss.
Troy let Jason delve into his mouth for a while, then tipped his head
back. "You're right. You stink. Like, a lot."
Jason stroked a thumb across Troy's cheek, leaving behind a streak of
black soot. "Let's go shower. You can scrub my back." |
