"So, tell me about your floor manager." Jamison watched Duke, the big werewolf who managed the Bloodrose, his nose twitching. Duke was stunning, wide-shouldered, trim in the waist and lean through the hips. He was big, capable, growly, and his scent screamed that the man needed a good beating.

Jonny, the club owner, raised an immaculate brow. "Why, Jamie? We've known each other for years and you've never once asked."

Jamison nodded. "I know. I suppose because I've never seen him watch Cady and Jonas." The little warlock and the big black werewolf had put on a show on the floor, and Cady had put Jonas through his paces. All of them, plugs, spanking, a good hard fucking.

Whether he knew it or not, Duke wanted someone to do that to him.

Suddenly the man was far more interesting to Jamison than he ever had been.

"Ah. Well, I must say it's impossible to be around those two and not react." Jonny always sounded so precise, with his snotty Brit thing going on. It made Jamison happy somehow.

"Yeah. It was Duke's reaction that interested me, though, not mine."

"Was it?" Jonny gave him one of those close-lipped Mona Lisa smiles that the man was famous for. "I wasn't paying any attention."

"Uh-huh." Somehow he doubted that. In fact, Jamison was starting to think he'd been set up. Why Jonny decided to do anything was a mystery, but Jamison had to wonder why he'd decided to hook Jamison up now.

"What made you decide I was lonely?" he asked, tipping his glass up for a sip of Scotch.

"Oh, it had very little to do with you." Jonny gave him a hint of fang as the smile widened. "Duke is the one I worry on. He needs someone."

Jamison raised a brow. "Why me?"

"Because you'll give him what he needs." Jonny put a hand on his arm. "He needs someone to see him. Everyone here expects him to be there, but no one focuses on him."

"That's touchy-feely, even for you." Jamison smiled to soften the words. "Where did you come up with all this?"
