Graham has a secret. He's not willing to tell anyone he knows about the strange dreams he's been having, dreams that keep him up at night, dreams that make him want...want more than he's ever had before. He won't tell anyone -- but he'll blog about it.

Sharing his deepest, most secret fantasies on the Cyber Confessional website results in something Graham never expected: his dreams start coming true, in disturbing detail. As his fantasies come to life, will Graham keep participating -- or will he be scared off by the magnitude of what he wished for?

Review

Jodi Payne, author of Dress to Impress, writes: Do you have a secret longing?  A furtive, unfulfilled desire?  A carefully concealed craving that you’re loathe to admit even to yourself?

Graham does, and he can’t keep it buried it any longer.  He’s unfocused; he feels out of control, like he’s barely keeping it together.  He’s afraid to tell his family and his friends what and who he is, afraid he’ll lose them.  What he needs is an outlet, someone to talk to, anyone.

He wants desperately to confess.

Graham’s needs are so simple, and yet so very complicated.  It’s more than just wanting to submit; he wants to be dominated by a man with no name, no face, no identity; a total stranger.  Someone that mysteriously knows exactly what Graham needs and how to give it to him.  Someone that will step in and take over.

Graham finds a place on the ‘net where he can put his predicament into words, give voice to his deepest desires anonymously.  Hiding behind a cryptic username he spells it all out for a faceless community of readers like himself.

Ah, but in the information age one has to be very, very careful, or one just might get what he’s wished for.

CB Potts’s style is smooth and intelligent, with the occasional amusing turn of phrase.  She has a particular talent for dropping her readers right into the heads of her characters, and boy, was I a sucker for this one.  Graham is a portrait of the average Joe on the outside, and the embodiment of the perfect sub on the inside.  At times I had to wonder whether he’d ever be able to find balance, but Graham is so likable that I found myself squarely in his corner, reading eagerly to find out how he would manage.  With a little tease here and a little kink there, Ms. Potts lured me right to the edge of my seat from the get go and held me there, experiencing all of Graham’s doubts, fears, arousal and elation right along with him.

Perfectly suited to Torquere’s Games People Play line, ISP will have you playing along at home, searching your own soul, and discovering your own clandestine cravings.

I want him to own me. Is he a Master, a possessor? I don't know. He's someone to belong to, for a few minutes, for an hour, maybe forever.

In my dreams, I don't see him. I don't know him. That doesn't matter. I want to surrender to the mystery. To the darkness. To submit for the sake of submitting, to go down on my knees for a stranger, to offer my ass to the unknown.

He knows this. He wants to push me into submission, to see how far he can go. But he doesn't want to hurt me. Not permanently.

But I don't know how to start. Where do you find someone like this? It's not the type of thing you can ask for. "Please dominate me?" That eliminates the essential element of domination -- that he's seen me and claimed me, knowing what I am without me advertising it. I just wish this man would appear out of nowhere and take me.

If only someone would just put his hands on me…

Graham swallowed. That was it, the short and sweet version of his dreams, condensed into a few paragraphs. The whole set of thoughts that would wake him from a sound sleep night after night after night, desperately clutching at himself. For anyone to read. For everyone to read.

Graham's finger hovered over the mouse button for a long, long moment. He stared at his words, at his most secret of secrets.

Then he clicked.
