Marco Prince is wiped out by the time he finally closes his costume shop on Halloween; there's no fun left in the holiday he loves and works for all year. His cash register may be overflowing, but everything else is empty. Marco is picking up the mess left by the hordes of customers now out having fun when Saul shows up, in need of help to finish off his scavenger hunt. A camera, a kiss, and a school-girl kilt are the catalysts that set the chemistry between Marco and Saul to boiling over, making this Halloween the hottest ever... so far.

No one ever took a closed sign at face value if there was any kind of light on. The world needed a dictionary.

"We're closed!" He shook his head as he approached the door. "Sorry!"

"Marco!"

Oh. Okay, maybe not a random shopper who desperately needed a last minute item for a costume. Marco peered through the glass as he unlocked the door, then leaned out. "Jesus. When did you turn into a bear?" He could barely recognize the man under the fuzzy shirt that looked like it was made of funfur. The man had a hat on, low over his eyes, and his jeans had cargo pockets that bulged out, stuffed full.

Saul grinned at him, his arms spread wide. "Dude, it's not for keeps. It's a week long scavenger hunt! And you're going to help me win. There's a steak dinner in it for you."

"I'm a vegetarian." Marco sighed and opened the door wide enough for Saul to come in, then locked it again behind him. "This isn't a good time for me, bud. What do you need?"

...

Marco didn't know Saul incredibly well, but from what he could recall Saul was mostly still in college-and-party mode instead of I'm-thirty-and-need-to-go-to-work-in-the-morning mode.

The guy was fun, though, and happy and harmless. Kind of cute. Definitely amusing.
