Dex would never get lost in a crowd. He was easily the tallest man there, but it wasn't just his height. Dex had the kind of charisma that Hollywood actors would kill for. The bride, for all that she resembled her taller cousin, didn't command one-tenth of the attention Dex did just by walking into the room.

"You're not trying to get rid of me, are you?" Dex asked. "I've been told I can be pushy."

"You? Pushy?" Nathan had matched Dex's joking tone, but Dex didn't say anything, and Nathan realized the question was serious. "No. Definitely not trying to get rid of you."

Dex's grin got a little wider. "Good."

That grin made Nathan feel warm in places he hadn't felt any heat for far too long.

Dex had been flirting with him ever since they'd gotten back to the chapel, stopping only long enough to take his place at the front of the chapel with the groom. It looked like Dex might continue flirting for the entire reception party. Dex's cousin had booked the large room for three hours. Nathan had to work the bar for the entire evening. If Dex kept it up, this could turn into one very long but very pleasurable night.

If only Nathan could stop himself from thinking about what might happen at the end of the night.
