With their debt to Big Dom paid off, Matt and Parker look forward to settling in and working at normal jobs. They're staying put, and thinking a commitment ceremony might be cool.
A trip to visit Matt's family proves to be anything but ordinary, but that's par for the course when Matt's parents and sister are crazy as loons. Will Parker survive the family introductions? And what happens when that bad penny otherwise known as Sean shows up in their lives again?

“Bong! Bong! Bong!” The bells on campus rang whether the students were there or not, tolling out the hours with unwavering regularity.
I looked up at my office window and smiled. That was one of the things I loved about this university -- the way that hidebound tradition marched side by side with incredibly progressive values.
It was a rare combination. I counted myself lucky to find an intellectually demanding employer who didn’t even bat an eye when I mentioned Parker. Scratch that: an employer who, upon seeing my Marine’s big, burly frame, found a position in campus security that suddenly needed to be filled.
Who could ask for anything more?

“You planning to work all day, Professor?” The sun had managed to crawl halfway up the sky by this point, plunging the Sciences Hall into the shadow of the larger, more imposing Braden Hall, home to the University’s prestigious law school. “Or could you be persuaded to take a lunch break?”
I looked up to see Parker leaning in the doorway, the khaki of his security uniform perfectly setting of his russet-gold hair.
“That sounds excellent.” I pushed my chair back, making sure to flip my notebook closed. Drafting lesson plans still did not come naturally to me, so I’d tried to work in some extra preparation time before the semester started back up. “I could use a bite.”
My door clicked shut behind us as I smiled up at my lover. “Or two… or three.”
