Swords into Plowshares
Tommy hung, panting, on his new owner’s St. Andrew’s cross. Only five hours ago, he’d strolled in sure he’d get through his Dance of the Seven Hankies with his usual professional detachment and be leaving by now with a tip and a sore ass. It was a routine gig: go be some dom’s birthday present, dance unveiling himself from behind the dom’s favorite hankie colors, let him choose one color to play with as part of the package, and offer the rest of the kinks as add-ons.
He didn’t expect to be worked through all seven colors.
Or to find himself agreeing to be the exclusive property of Dr. Fell.
Released, he slid forward and landed on his knees. He had a moment of panic and felt his usual defense-mechanism – a wicked smart-mouth – starting to engage.
“Start tidying the room, boy.”
“What shall I do with all these hankies?” He tried to smother the sulky tone.”
“Well, I’m not letting you use them again: you’re mine now.”
“Damn, if you’re going to domesticate me, I might as well make a quilt.”
“Watch your sass! Well, hell, it’ll keep those naughty hands busy. And a homemade quilt is just the thing for my cabin.”
“Guess I’ll have to learn to sew.” Pause. “Sir.”
“Indeed. And it’ll be a fitting memory for you when you sleep on it at my feet. Now get working. I need to call Bill and thank him for my present.”
So here’s poor Tommy sitting and staring at the sewing machine and a big basket of bandanas. As he picks out his colors, he remembers each torment Dr. Fell put him through.
Tommy will make you a bandana quilt (approx. 60x80) with up to twelve different colors – you pick. Bandana will most likely be paisley unless you object! No questions asked about whether the colors are your kinks. Please bear in mind this is Tommy’s first time sewing. Flaws will be punished by Dr. Fell, but the quilt will be as is. Please allow some time for Tommy to fit making it in around his other duties and punishments.
Write seven (yes 7) fifty-word or under ficlets – one for each color you think Tommy endured. You can find the hanky code with a quick google. E-mail your story as a word attachment to sydmcginley@hotmail.com by midnight on September 10th. Subject line: Quilt.
Dr. Fell appears in Pet Sitting by Syd McGinley – one of the Sips series.
