Going Steady
by AJ Wilde

This poem was written by one of my characters (Rick Rathburn from the Soul Journeys series) for the unknown soulmate he encounters on each past life adventure -- although Rick does not know for certain who his soulmate is, he feels as though they have been "going steady" for many years - if not centuries.

Ancient Hearts
a new star shining in the east
guiding the traveler into the sunrise
dawnlight
sunbright
stars fading into light
easterly, easterly flies your spirit
carried on cool winds through sapphire skies
over the shining sea to a silver land
the home of your ancient heart.
a new star shining in the west
guiding the traveler into the sunset
twilight
starbright
dusk fading into night
westerly, westerly flies my spirit
carried on dark wings through sunset skies
over the western isles to a golden land
the home of my ancient heart.
wandering westward, you will find me
walking barefoot through a moonlit meadow
wandering eastward, I will find you
walking barefoot on a sunlit seashore
in another lifetime
on another timeline
our ancient hearts will meet again
at the source where east and west
and all the gods and goddesses we met along the way
become one.

POPCORN SALMON
2 salmon filets
2 cups popped popcorn
2 lemons, halved
4 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. olive oil

In small amounts pulverize popcorn in your blender on high until the entire 2 cups is a fine flour. Then sift it to remove any large grains. Place in a dish.
In a skillet, place the the oil and half the butter, squeeze one lemon half over each filet, then dip each filet in the flour, and fry until done. Place on plates and mix the remaining 2 Tbsp. butter, squeeze the lemon juice into it and mix well. Drizzle this over the salmon. Sprinkle with paprika and serve with roasted squash, carrots, and zucchini.

Today's clue: AJ says to look at what other people are saying to find the clue!
