Going Steady
by Misa Izanaki

Kale sat on his worn sofa flipping channels. It was nice to have nothing to do for once. Usually he was keeping an eye on things at the club or buried up to his elbows in paperwork, but not today. It was Wednesday which meant a day off for everyone, including him.

Footsteps padded softly behind him. Dante was trying valiantly to sneak up on him and that was not an easy thing to do. Kale had keen ears and even if he couldn’t hear the boy, Kale could smell him. Sometimes being half vampire had its advantages, not that he would ever tell his father that. Kale would never hear the end of it if he did.

Kale let Dante get with inches before glancing back, one auburn eyebrow raised in curiosity. “What are you up to, Dante?”

Dante straightened and blinked at him. He was trying to look innocent despite the small horns that poked through his dark blue hair and the tail twitching mischeviously behind him. “Damn, how did you know I was there?”

“I could hear you…and smell you.” Kale pulled Dante over the back of the couch and into his lap. Dante had a small box wrapped in silver paper in his hands. “What’s that?”

“It’s for you.” Dante held the box out to him. “It’s sort of an anniversary for us so I thought I’d get you something.”

“Anniversary?”

“Yeah, we’ve been dating for three months as of today.” Dante nodded. “That’s an anniversary…well, sort of.”

“We’re not really dating, Dante.” Kale fingered the ridges on one of Dante’s horns. “We’ve never actually gone on a date.”

“Well I don’t know what else to call it.” Dante had that hurt look in those big violet eyes of his.

Kale felt like he just kicked a puppy. “Dante, don’t look at me like that.”

“Look, if you don’t want the stupid present, just tell me.”

“I do, but I didn’t get you anything.”

“It’s okay. I-I just felt like getting you something.” Dante dropped the box on the coffee table and scooted off Kale’s lap, his tail swishing back and forth like an angry cat’s. “I know three months isn’t a big deal to you bu--”

Kale wrapped his arms around Dante’s mid-section and pulled him close. “Sorry, love… I didn’t mean it like that. I guess it’s been a long time since I’ve had a steady lover.”

“I find that hard to believe.”

“Yeah, it’s been…oh, a good thirty years or so.” Kale nuzzled Dante’s cheek, taking in more that sweet and slightly spicy scent of his. “Never really wanted anything serious…at least until I met you.”

“Really?” Dante leaned against Kale’s broad chest. “I figured that you had boys throwing themselves at you, especially the ones who wanted a hot dom.”

“There were a few, but no one compared to you.” Kale slid his hand beneath the waistband of Dante’s shorts. “I wanted you the moment you walked into the club looking for a job.”

“Mmn, and it only took you two years to tell me.”

“I didn’t think you’d be interested in an old dog like me.”

“How could I not be?” Dante lifted his hips, pushing his cock against Kale’s hand. “You’re gorgeous, even if you are old.”

“Hmm, too old to play with you?” Kale pulled his hand from Dante’s shorts.

“Ooh, I never said that.” Dante shifted and straddled Kale’s lap. The tip of his cock peeked over the waistband of his boxers, wet and twitching. “You still make me insanely horny.”

“Really?” Kale gave Dante’s butt a squeeze. “Maybe you should show me…”

Dante trailed his hand over the dripping tip of his cock. “Look how hard I am.” He glanced up innocently and licked the pre-come off his fingers. “Only you make me like this.”

A velvety bit of tail wrapped around Kale’s wrist and tugged his hand closer. Dante must have been horny. He never used that tail for anything except whapping Kale when he was pissed off. Kale wrapped his hand around Dante’s prick and stroked it slowly. “How’s that?”

“Mmn…” Dante groaned, his hands tightening against Kale’s broad shoulders. “I-I’m going to come if you keep doing that.”

“That’s the idea.”

“Oh…”

It didn’t take long. It never did when Dante was wound up about something. After a few quick strokes, Dante bucked against Kale’s hand, spurting warm goo all over his shirt.

Dante slumped against Kale’s chest, warm and boneless. He was panting a little, like he was trying to catch his breath. “See what you do to me?”

“Come on, we should get cleaned up.” Kale lifted Dante up and carried him to the bathroom.

“What’s the rush?” That tail brushed against Kale’s ass teasingly. “I was hoping for round two…”

“Maybe later, after our date.”

“Date?”

“Yeah, I figured that we should go on at least one, since we are going steady and all.” Kale started the shower and stripped off his shirt.

“You big softie!” Dante grinned and tackled Kale. They stumbled into the shower still half clothed with Dante covering Kale’s face in soft kisses. “That’s why I love you.”

“I love you too, but that’s not going to save you from getting your ass paddled for tackling me like that.” Kale growled and tried to look angry. It was hard though with his arms full of wet and happy boy.

“Oh, don’t tempt me like that, Kale… or we’ll never get out of the apartment.”
